Not my creation but funny. Now that Weis is back, here are things that NEED to happen:

1) Weis needs to fire Latina...and then have him deported

2) Weis needs to kill his son...he is like a bad-luck troll on the sideline

3) Weis needs to land all the key recruits left on the board...I don't care if that means offering them money or blow or hookers...just get it done.

4) Weis needs to surgically have his nose and his mouth rid of all snot/mucus glands...its disgusting to watch, this order would come from swarbrick.

5) Swarbrick needs to get together a group of O-line coaching candidates...put a puppy in the room and tell them whomever is nasty enough to kill the puppy first gets the job.

6) Weis needs to go back to coaching strictly QB's and be the head coach. Stop messing up other positions.

7) Get an offensive coach that will work well with someone who just killed a puppy, and establish a hard-core running game.

8) Start beating teams like the are trespassing on our property. No more respect for oppenents...I want our players to win the game, then start a fight, then chase the other team back into the visiting locker room and onto their crappy busses.

9) Get clausen's confidence back. However you do it...make sure he believes the O-line will not get him killed. And then pay for some hookers for him for good measure...professional ones...from the city or from LA.

10) Issue a public statement that ND is not longer a place for good kids...we want kids who want to claw and rape their way to the top. No accademic requirements for football players...we will give you a tutor who will take all your tests and you can go straight from practice back to your room and smoke weed.

11) 2 losses maximum next year...anything other than that and we are not on the right path.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Charlie Weis will continue as head football coach at the University of Notre Dame, University athletics director Jack Swarbrick announced today (Dec. 3).
Swarbrick, who made the decision in consultation with University president Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., met with Weis in California on Tuesday to review this past season, discuss plans for 2009 and communicate his decision.
“Though this past season fell short of the expectations that all of us have for our football program, I am confident that Charlie has a strong foundation in place for future success and that the best course of action is to move forward under his leadership,” said Swarbrick.
“He, I and the others involved in leading our football program are committed to doing everything necessary to ensure a successful 2009 season. We are examining every aspect of the program and will make changes wherever we think they are needed.”
Weis’ four-season record at Notre Dame is 28-21 ? after his first two Irish teams in ’05 and ’06 finished 9-3 and 10-3, respectively, and made Bowl Championship Series appearances. The Football Writers Association of America named Weis its 2005 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award winner as the national college coach of the year.
A 1978 Notre Dame graduate, Weis previously spent five seasons (2000-04) as the New England Patriots offensive coordinator and helped that franchise to three Super Bowl championships during his tenure. He also was a member of the New York Giants staff during the 1990 Super Bowl championship season.

Has there been any thoughts on Chris Petersen as a potential ND head coach? I don't know a lot about him, other than the fact that he wins a lot. 35-3 in 3 years as Boise's head coach. 2 undefeated seasons and a BCS win over Stoops. That resume is every bit as impressive as Meyer's before FLA hired him. He's young, an offensive innovator and if the guy can get young kids motivated to go play on a blue field in Boise, Idaho, then he's doing something right.

RPL, what a stupid article by Gene Wojosomething. I love his premise that what made Notre Dame different was that we gave all of our coaches 5 years. That was our "brand" and we through it away when we fired Willingham. Just stupid. All I know is that we haven't been relevant in 15 years. We went 3-9 last season. By the way, what awaits a recruit at ND is a tough class load, 9 inches of snow in mid-November, and life in a regular dorm. Despite that, we landed the #1 recruiting class in the country. I still believe some people out there believe we could be special again.

Well said, Gunter. Unfortunately, as Gene Wojosomething on ESPN.com explains today, ND is (repeat after me) nothing special, they just want to win football games, every coach gets 5 years.....

I remember that's what I always loved about Notre Dame: the unstated rule that head coaches get 5 years to prove that they are unfit for the job. Oh, the memories....

As I watched our 8th ranked basketball team beat the Longhorns last night, I couldn't help but think, "There was a time when the announcers would be talking about 'a basketball match-up between two grid iron powerhouses.'" Not anymore. I also became very excited about the prospect of playing #1 UNC - one of the great basketball programs throughout history that is still at the top of the mountain. A mixture of fear that would could get crushed, intimidation by their aura, and anticipation of how great it would be if we actually did the unexpected filled me. I thought, "That's how teams used to feel when they saw Notre Dame on their football schedule." Now, the only teams that perhaps feel that way are the San Diego States of the world.

Then it dawned on me that football may be our worst sport at Notre Dame these days. Our basketball team will likely be top 5 after this week (barring a 40 pt drubbing tonight). We've won national championships in fencing, women's soccer, and women's basketball since we last won a bowl game. Our volleyball, swimming, softball, cross country, men's soccer, tennis, golf, etc. programs are ranked nearly every year. Even sports where we have historically been weak like hockey went to the Frozen Four last year. Sports where we have significant geographic disadvantages like lacrosse and baseball have been to the Final Four and CWS in the past 10 years. Ironically, a school that was built upon football now competes every year for all around trophies DESPITE its football program, not because of it.

I find this incredibly depressing, but at the same time, it also makes me believe we can win again. Football literally built this university. We owe our academic strength and reputation to the fame brought upon the university by grid iron heroics. We owe our success in other sports to the facilities built by football revenues and a desire by student athletes to be part of the spirit of Notre Dame. Despite growing up in an era when ND football has been irrelevant, there is still unbelievable pent up demand among 4 and 5 star football prospects to come to ND. They want to be part of the magic. Every time we get a new coach, we see one or two great classes. The athletes are dying to drink the Kool Aid. Last year's class was a testament to that.

We just need to find someone who can release the magic again.

At the start of every season, my hopes are very high. I can see ND playing like teams of old. It hasn't taken but a couple of games into the season that I start getting that old feeling in my gut. I dread Saturdays. This last loss to Syracuse didn't even hurt, and that's the problem. I want every loss to hurt like hell, and every victory to bring feelings of elation. At this point, neither happens.
