New Commit

Ben Hansbrough, the brother of 2008 Naitonal Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough, will be transferring to Notre Dame from Mississippi State. Ben averaged over 11 points this past season in helping lead the Dogs to a spot in the NCAA tourney.
His older brother recently decided to return to North Carolina for another season.

Stocking Up

The Irish are stocking up on recruits this weekend.  After the great news from Cierre Wood, the Irish got some more of the good stuff when Tyler Stockton gave his verbal commitment.Tyler Stockton is a 6′ 1″ 280 lbs defensive tackle from Jersey.  It doesn’t get much meaner than that.

Who said a 3-9 abomination would hurt recruiting?
Cierre Wood, running back extraordinaire and 5-star prospect gave his verbal commit to the Irish on Saturday.  Offered by every program that matters, Cierre committed to Charlie Weis bringing a true impact player at a position the Irish have recruited well in since Weis arrived on campus.

Notre Dame 5, Michigan 4

The Notre Dame men’s hockey team got it done late with a 5 to 4 overtime win against Michigan Thursday night. Man, it always feels good to beat those guys.
Calle Ridderwall scored the winning goal in OT sending the lads at Jackson’s Rink into a frenzy:
