Bringing it Bruton Style

How about Rivals giving DB the DB a little love after spring practices? David Bruton is ready for a break-through season, after backing up Ndukwe all of 2006, a campaign in which he recorded 10 solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles.
Bruton is 6′2″, and is carrying about 200-205 pounds. His height makes him an ideal centerfielder, capable of providing up-top help in the Cover 2. His aggressiveness in the spring game reminded us of Glenn Earl….he hits guys right between the numbers. Bruton should provide an upgrade at the FS position from last year, where Ndukwe sometimes struggled against the pass.
Bruton will be called on to make defensive reads from the free safety position, and become a field general, as the new 3-4 defense that Brown has brought in will allow Zibby more freedom. We expect both safeties to adjust nicely to the new scheme, as they won’t be called on to clog up the middle as much as in 2006.
