HLS Sits Down with Tony Roberts
Every once in a while (pretty much every day) we come across a post from another Notre Dame blog and think to ourselves, “Daaaammmmmnnnn, IRT, that’s a great post. Why didn’t we think of that?!”
Well, today we have a beauty from Her Loyal Sons who sat down with Tony Roberts.
It has been 457 days (May 15 to August 14) since I was relieved as Notre Dames play-by-play announcer. What I have missed most in that time was being on campus mingling with Irish fans and friends and partaking in the Notre Dame experience. I’ve been in this business a long time and there is no place in America like Notre Dame not only on a football Saturday but any day.
It is no secret my greatest desire is to return. Notre Dame knows it, the new broadcast partner knows it, the fans know it and most important, Our Lady knows it.
Go read the rest of the interview and you’ll be saying, “Damn, that’s a good post. The only thing missing is a mother fuckin’ montage.”

Let’s get Tony back.
We’re a big fan of Criq here. It’s time for NBC to get Criq in the booth freeing up the radio for Tony. That would just be smart.

Should the title of this post be “HLS Sits” or “HLS Sit?”

Great Montage. While I don’t listen to many games on the radio. His calls are the absolute best.
Come on back home, Tony. We love ya.
