Growing the Grass Long
Charlie is growing the grass long this week meaning the poor Trojans will still have to play on the same field as the Irish. We feel terrible for USC. Playing football on long grass is very difficult. The Trojans are already banged up. Imagine the carnage on Saturday.
Grow it long, Charlie.
We see the forecast for Saturday is Sunny. Oh Nooooooo! What if the sun gets in USC’s eyes!? What are they going to do?
Poor Trojans.

1. the usc football players are going to lose and then cry, before and after reggie bush and pete carroll and the crooked pac 10 refs from the 2005 game get indicted and hauled off to federal prisons to join michael vick.
2. enjoy the game. we understand that the full time athletes on the usc football team may also have to play in the rain with thunder and lightening and tornadoes.
3. we are immensely proud of charlie weis and corwin brown and this 2007 notre dame team, the growing pains and the ugly start be damned.
4. they have turned around the notre dame football program with integrity and without compromising notre dame’s high academic standards.
5. anyone can win by cheating. pete carroll and his renegade usc program have certainly proved that, as dennis erickson and barry switzer and others have done before.
6. we find it ironic that mike garrett of usc offerred the usc coaching job to the infamous dennis erickson and turned to pete carroll only after erickson turned the job down.
7. after all, erickson had exactly the track record that certain people at usc wanted. he led miami to 2 national championships with his expertise in cheating.
8. however, even erickson was smart enough to know that, if he tried those tactics again, as garrett and certain others at usc wanted, he was likely to end up behind bars.
9. surprisingly, most of the people affiliated with usc will cheer the downfall of the usc football program more loudly than the rest of the world.
10. after all, those people have worked very hard to turn usc into a real academic institution. they are embarrassed by the cheating going on in the current football program and know that they can come back and play and win with integrity. we wish them well.
