Tebow Love Fest
It still amazes me how the media treated Brady Quinn in his final season at Notre Dame vs. Tim Tebow this past year. For a refresher course check out the anti-Brady media fascination post from Jay on BGS from December 14, 2006.
It’s been a Tebow love-fest since the guy hit Florida’s campus. I don’t have anything against the guy, just wanted to point out the media bias once again.

Still pisses me off to this day. He totally deserved the Heisman, without any doubt. Ughhhh….. I just hate the media so much it ain’t even funny….

To suggest Brady was looked upon negatively by the mass media is a bit disingenuous, boys. Frankly, there was an ongoing slobberfest by the national media about how much of a “genius” Fat Charlie was and how Quinn was one of the best QBs in the draft. The NFL draft experts, however, begged to differ and Pretty Boy dropped a bit.
As for Tebow, I’ve got no stake in him but his numbers are kind of ridonkulous. 20 TDs passing AND rushing? Come on, now. He’s worth the hype.

One thing that really stands out was a quote from herbstreit…”after the georgia tech game, brady quinn has taken himself out of the heisman race”……nobody brings up tebow balling like a baby after this years loss to lsu. an nd guy just has to put up perfect games every week to quiet a biased media. so stick that up your ass juicy j

Yeah “J Money”the same NFL experts who got canned in Miami and should be in Detroit and Oakland were the sort that needed a quarterback and passed on Mr.Quinn. Shows what happens when you watch to much ESPN. I mean you consider cam cameron and matt millen experts?Then I ” beg to differ” Don’t be hatin on Brady he’s already an Irish legend and when gets a chance to play he’ll be an NFL one as well. As a Bear fan I know I’d take him and as a Bear fan I’d take Troy Smith if he didn’t suck on it so very very hard. Jamaracus has a big ol slow pound cake delivery like Byron Leftwich. Very nice in the SEC not so much in the NFL. Tebow’s a good college QB but those 3 yard TD runs up the middle will translate into concussions in the NFL and who was the last florida qb to do anything in the NFL anyway?Maybe one is due.

There’s no way Troy Smith deserved the Heisman over Quinn, but there’s no way that Quinn, a back-up quarterback, deserves to be featured in commercials either. Media bias worked both against and for him.

Back-up, soon-to-be-star Brady Quinn deserves more commercials than cheat and liar Reggie Bush. I’m blown away that any respectable organization would want that fraud endorsing their products.
