    I observed a very interesting phenomena in Seattle this weekend We spoke with Husky fans before, during and after the game. Almost too a person they were “rooting” for an ND blow-out. The comments before the game were “well, we want the Huskies to win, but realistically we know this is a terrible team and we just want Willingham out of here”. Following the game, there was almost a universal sense of relief that “this was the final nail in the coffin for Willingham”. The Seattle newspapers just skewered Willingham on Sunday. Perhaps it is justified, but it seems like a terrible environment for that entire team. Having lived through both the Davie and Willingham eras, I certainly remember desperately wanting a change. However, I can’t fathom ever wanting the Irish to lose. You have to imagine this has crept into the back of these players minds.
    As a side note, I still think UW fans are still some of the classiest I have encountered.
