I Wish I Was In San Antonio
I love that ND is playing this game against Washington State in San Antonio.
Road games are the best. I’m not talking about visiting hell-holes Purdue, Michigan State, and Michigan. I’m talking Seattle for Washington, The Rose Bowl for UCLA, and Tempe for Ohio State. I’ve had more fun at these games in the last five years than any of the ND home games.
This game is great on many different levels:
It is great for the players.
It is great for the recruits.
It is great for the University.
It is great for NBC.
It is great for the fans that get to go. They will all have a blast and make an enjoyable weekend out of it.
I wish I could have made it.

The Hammer, We_R_ND and a good number of ND alums from Austin will be representing Notre Dame in San Antonio. While the Alamo Dome is not the greatest venue for watching football, I’m confident ND fans will create a true home field advantage. Wish you were here, JVH, I hear they’ll be giving away the Coors Lights.

I bought a pair of tickets for a Pittsburgh-based Irish-fan buddy of mine who moved down to Austin this year. I gave them to him as a housewarming present, so while I can’t get there myself, I feel like I contributed to the cause.
Go Irish, beat Cougars.

Venue wasn’t the best, but was a very good time. Hammer, sorry I missed you. We need to catch up.
