Rumor of the Day II: Te’o Pissed; Taking a Two Year Mission
unfortunately i predicted this — in my gloom and doom scenario about recruits– transfers– 5th years– and early departures—- according to the local sports news— Mant’i Teo’s DAD– in an obvious state of disappointment– they were very close to weis—has told the local sports that on the heels of the firing ,manti is considering LEAVING SCHOOL & STARTING A TWO YEAR MISSION!

Calm Down Rumorville. Manti’s mission has always been in the mix since he was recruited. His Dad stated that IF he was to serve a mission, he would leave at the end of the season his freshman year. Manti also mentioned this in his interview with the media at ND time and time again. It was advertised in all media outlets during his recruitment.
Of course the family is disppointed that Weis was removed, wouldn’t you be if the very person who recruited tyour son to come to South Bend is all of a sudden removed? CW may not have been considered a “great” coach to some, but he is a good man.
So relax! If he goes, he goes! It should be of no surprise to all of us. If he doesn’t, we got a killer year ahead of us when he reports for Spring. I wish him the best.

I wish him the best as well. He needs to make this decision for himself and nobody else.
